CURRICULUM
The implementation of Republic Act 9155 has restructured the Curriculum in Secondary Education. Just like in any public secondary schools our school offers Basic Education Curriculum with four core subject areas such as Filipino, English, Science and Mathematics and a tool subject which is Makabayan comprising the components namely: Aralin
Panlipunan, Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE), Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health (MAPEH), Values Education and Citizen Advancement Training. However, the school is now implementing Tech – Voc Education Curriculum in the first year and Science Curriculum for the Special Science Class in First Year and Second Year.
- Teaching Program
The teaching load of every teacher is 6 hours per day and two hours paper works and other non – teaching functions. However, ancillary services are also assigned to a teacher with a corresponding equivalent teaching load.
- Time Allotment
Regular classes are conducted every day with the minimum required number of minutes. Teachers shall also perform the following:
1. Write daily lesson plans.
2. Prepare instructional materials and visual aids.
3. Check paper works.
4. Fast track monitoring of performance of the students thru the effective use of LMP records and forms.
- Indigenization of the Curriculum
PERSONNEL
As of school year 2008-2009, La Libertad National High School has 25 permanent teachers, and 13 teacher aides funded by the Local Government Unit and the Provincial Government.
SPECIAL FEATURES
The LGU provides free use of water and electricity, convention center for programs and conferences, town plaza for playground, Xerox and risograph machine for the reproduction of test materials, LGU buses for Educational Tour. Our school is strategically located near the churches and government agencies such as the Post Office, Rural Health Unit, the Department of Justice, the COMELEC, Department of Agriculture, the Department of Agrarian Reform and the Philippine National Police. They can be easily tapped for assistance to make our environment more student friendly .
